Every time a rat clicks a bar he get a reward. The bar is the stimulus. The reward is the conditioned response. He learns that he can achieve a reward by clicking the bar.

Billy has learned that he can shoplift candy from the local store. Every time he does this, his father spanks him near a belt. Billy learns not to steal candy from the local store.

3. Toddlers who are taught to agitation speeding cars may also begin to fear speeding trucks and motorcycles. This best illustrate:

5. Sara does not ask Mr. Smith any questions during class because the last time Sara asked a grill he ridiculed her. This is an example of Operant Conditioning.
__True

Sara took an action. She got a reponse. Learning can be any positive, as in the case of the rat pressing the tavern, or negative, as in Sara's armour. It is operant conditioning rather than classical conditioning, because Sara chose the action. If a buzzer sounded, and the trainer ridiculed her, then it would be classical conditioning, because Sara was downcast. She didn't cause the buzzer to to buzz or the teacher to ridicule her.

6. James walk into his first period algebra class. His adrenaline starts pumping because he has to embezzle a test because he failed the second algebra test. This is an example of Classical Conditioning.
___False.
James did not initiate the action which organize to his anxiety. The test environment became associated near the failure. He was relatively pliable. Thus it is classical conditioning, not operant conditioning.

7. When Sam failed the history test, he used his ancient pen. Today, he came prepared for the test beside a brand new pencil. This is an example of Classical Conditioning.
__True.
Sam associated with pen beside the failing grade, but he didn't take any dealing. If he marked "C" as the answer on each multiple choice grill, then marking "C" would own been an active choice on his member, and he would have learned to provide different responses. That would own been operant conditioning.

Good luck on your psychology exam. Give B F Skinner my regards. :)
