Best items for babe-in-arms shower payment registry?
My sister-in-law is finally moving out of our second bedroom (we've been letting her stay with us to budge to school/save money) in mid to late June. Our babe is due 9/28...so I'm starting to think ahead to our baby shower (probably mid-August) and my payment registry. Are there any must-have items you all would suggest? I especially want answers from those who are already moms.
What I would close to is links to specific products (e.g. the best breast pump value or the best baby tub or swing or play pen, etc.). I'm thinking of registering mainly at Target and maybe Babies 'R Us (since they are adjectives over the place and most of our friends and family have tight budgets right now). We live within San Mateo County in California, if you have suggestions of other stores that enjoy inexpensive items for baby showers.
Anyway, links or specific product brands and names would be most assiduous!

Bibs! My son drools so much I could probably fill a little one swimming pool. Recieving blankets. I use those for everything. diapers of different sizes are great to register for, breast pads, breast cream, (if you plan on breastfeeding), a bouncer, swing those are lifesavors, stroller car form (even a toddler seat wouldn't hurt). Clothes, baby shampoo, wipe, tub, baby orajel (always best to have that contained by hand because teething can happen out of nowhere). A themometer, orb syringe, baby nail clippers, babe tylenol, bandaids. Put not so expensive AND expensive things. That way people next to a small budget do not feel obligated to buy something expensive.
Formula is immensely expensive and they go through like if it be water.

or you don't even have to do a register you could simply print a list of what you need and impart with the shower invitation and they could do it that way and
MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER FOR THE SPECIFIC TYPES OF CERTAIN THINGS YOU WANT....FOR EXAMPLE
BREAST PUMP
BOTTLES
PACIFIERS
BEDDING
SWING
BOUNCY SEAT

MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER FOR DIAPERS, AND NOT JUST NEWBORNS, I DID MINE FOR ALL THE WAY UP TO SIZE 3. AND THE BRAND DOESNT MATTER, PEOPLE WILL GET WHAT THEY WANT ON THAT
ALSO DONT BOTHER REGISTERING FOR TOO MANY CLOTHS. THATS SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE WILL GET WHAT THEY THINK IS CUTE ALSO.
DONT BE SCARED TO REGISTER FOR BIG STUFF. A LOT OF TIMES A COUPLE OF PEOPLE WILL BAN TOGETHER AND PITCH IN FOR THAT BIG GIFT. Source(s): 29 WEEKS WITH BABY NUMBER 2
